3/14/2023 0 Comments Skiing Adventures March 2023We created a family mission statement last year: We are fun, adventurous, loving, and honest. We learn from our mistakes, forgive each other, and help each other along the covenant path. We can do hard things! We definitely had a lot of fun, adventures, learning from mistakes, and doing hard things yesterday as we went skiing as a family on March 13, 2023. It was Timothy's first time ever and only the 2nd time for Devin. I grew up in Alpine, UT and spent most winter Saturdays throughout Jr High and High School up at the ski resorts. I have lots of fond memories skiing and it was really fun to be up in the mountains as a family. We stayed on the bunny hill and there were lots of tears and frustration as Timothy started out. He needed several reminders that we can do hard things and to get back up after he fell. He continued to push through and started to have fun. It was so fun to see his progress and his big grin when he could go down without falling. He could have kept going a lot longer than Devin and I. Devin was starting to get the hang of it too. It's a lot harder to learn and perfect skiing as an adult, but he kept pushing through and was getting better. It had been several years (since before Tim was born) that I had been skiing and my boots were way too tight. I was losing circulation to my toes and had to quit early, but it worked out because then I just walked next to Tim to help him and film him. Even though I was a little bummed to miss out on more skiing, I had a lot of fun with my family. We can't wait to add another little adventurer to our family! ~Sarah
